Palliative Care & Hospice Services of MedWest offering “Hope for the Holidays” to help people deal with grief and loss

CLYDE, N.C. – Palliative Care & Hospice Services of MedWest Health System is hosting “Hope for the Holidays” on Nov. 8 in Waynesville. 
  
The community event, offered to help people deal with feelings of grief and loss during the upcoming holidays, will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 8 at First Baptist Church of Waynesville, 100 S. Main St. The sessions are free, and refreshments will be provided. 
  
“The holidays can be difficult for people who have experienced loss, such as the death of a loved one,” said Regina Easley-Young, MedWest Bereavement Specialist. “We’re hosting ‘Hope for the Holidays’ to help people reflect on ways to deal with their grief before the holidays arrive.” 
  
Palliative Care & Hospice Services of MedWest Health System offers compassionate care for people who are terminally ill, their families and their caregivers. Based on a family’s request, support may be provided emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and physically. 

In Haywood County, Palliative Care & Hospice Services of MedWest Health System is based on the MedWest-Haywood campus at 560 Leroy George Dr. in Clyde.
