MedWest-Haywood Hospice and Palliative Care and Wells Care Connections host Seasonal Affective Disorder session

Clyde, N.C. – MedWest-Haywood Hospice and Palliative Care, in conjunction with Wells Care Connections of Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville, will host an informative session on Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) on Thursday, January 17th. The free session will be held at Lake Junaluska First Baptist Church in the fellowship hall from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 

All community members are invited to attend to learn more about SAD, its symptoms, and how it affects us during the winter months. Martha Teater, MA, a licensed marriage and family therapist, will present on the topic and offer ways to cope with the disorder. The session will also focus on nutrition, self-care, and healthy living.
