MedWest-Harris hosting free Man to Man prostate cancer support group meeting July 9 in Sylva

Sylva, N.C. – MedWest-Harris is hosting a free Man to Man support group meeting for prostate cancer patients and survivors from 7 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 9 in the Annex Conference Room on the MedWest-Harris campus in Sylva.

Hugh Moon and Joe Hurt, MD are co-chairmen of the American Cancer Society support group, which meets the second Monday of every month. Meetings are free to attend. Call (828) 631-8100 for more information.

The Man to Man prostate cancer support group is part of MedWest Health System’s comprehensive cancer treatment services, including state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and advanced radiation therapy services at the Mountain Regional Cancer Center in Sylva.

MedWest’s cancer services team includes board-certified general surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, healthcare professionals specializing in radiation therapy and nurse navigators who help patients step-by-step throughout the cancer treatment process.
