Look Good, Feel Better workshop set for Aug. 1

MedWest Health System now host Look Good, Feel Better workshops on two campuses. Facilitated by trained cosmetologists, these classes teach women with cancer how to understand and care for changes in skin and hair that may occur during treatment.

The workshops are held from 10 a.m. to noon each month, alternating between MedWest Health & Fitness Center in Clyde and the MedWest-Harris annex classroom in Sylva. The next class is scheduled for Aug. 1 in Sylva.

Participants will receive a complementary makeup bag, full of top name brand cosmetics. The workshops are free, but participants must register by calling 452-8100 for the MedWest-Haywood class or 631-8100 for the MedWest-Harris class and give their name and phone number, so organizers can confirm the best color type for their cosmetics. Attendance is limited to 10 participants.

The program is offered in partnership with the National Cosmetology Association and the Personal Care Products Council Foundation. This is an American Cancer Society program hosted by MedWest Health System.
