SYLVA, N.C. – MedWest Rehabilitation Services at MedWest-Harris is now offering free, walk-in injury screenings for children and adults.

Screenings are offered during the Rehabilitation Services department’s regular office hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, in the main building at MedWest-Harris in Sylva.

The screenings are designed for people who have non-emergency aches, pains or problems in their shoulders, elbows, knees, hips, ankles, feet or backs, said Grant Shanks, a physical therapist and outpatient physical therapy coordinator at MedWest-Harris.

Through the screenings, physical therapy and rehabilitation professionals are able to recommend next-step treatment options.
