Free Hand and Wrist Screening at MedWest-Harris February 16th

Sylva, N.C. – Dr. Paul Cutting, an orthopedic surgeon, who specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery, will offer a free hand screening from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, February 16th in the rehabilitation services department at MedWest-Harris. Dr. Cutting is a physician with Western Carolina Orthopaedic Specialists.
Dr. Cutting diagnoses and treats fractures, dislocations, nerve and tendon repairs, reconstructions and grafts, sports and work-related injuries and other hand and upper extremity problems. The screening will include common hand, wrist and elbow problems, including arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Cutting will be assisted by occupational therapists on the MedWest-Harris rehabilitation services staff.
A West Point graduate, Dr. Cutting received his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He completed his residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, Ga. He completed his hand surgery fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Raymond A. Curtis National Hand Center.
