Arthritis Foundation presenting Walk with Ease beginning exercise program starting July 10 at MedWest Health & Fitness Center
Clyde, N.C. – The Arthritis Foundation is presenting the Walk with Ease beginning exercise program for people with arthritis at the MedWest Health & Fitness Center on the MedWest-Haywood campus in Clyde, starting Thursday, July 10.
The one-hour class designed for men and women of all ages with arthritis will meet at 1 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for six weeks beginning Thursday, July 10. Each session will consist of a discussion, a warm-up, a stretch, a walk, a cool down and then another stretch. The class will form walking groups that will focus on safety and success and will being with walking about five to 10 minutes and then build up to at least 30 minutes of walking.
Walk with Ease is for people who are fit and not-so-fit. The class is suited for people who can be on their feet for 10 minutes without pain. People without arthritis who would like to begin a regular walking routine may also attend.
