Chris Catterson, MD is the founding physician of Western Carolina Orthopedic Specialists. He attended medical school in Philadelphia and completed an orthopedic residency in Pittsburgh. While in Pittsburgh he treated athletes from Duquesne University and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He completed his sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL. While there he treated athletes from Alabama University, Auburn University and Alabama State University. He has also treated a variety of professional athletes from the NFL, MLB, MLS, PGA, LPGA and the Olympics. |

Judson Garbarino, MD joined Carolina West Sports Medicine in October of 2009. Dr. Garbarino completed medical school at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine where he graduated with honors. He completed his residency with The Ohio State University Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency and completed a sports medicine fellowship with Riverside Methodist Hospital. Most recently, Dr. Garbarino has been serving as an emergency room physician. He has special training in ultrasound and conscious sedation and is skilled in medical acupuncture. He is a team physician for WCU Athletics, and performs sports physicals and concussion evaluations. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American College of Emergency Medicine Physicians, and the American Medical Association. |

William Ralston, D.O. is board certified in orthopedic surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Mary's Medical Center in Independence, MO. Dr. Ralston completed a fellowship in sports medicine and joint reconstruction at Toledo Orthopedic Surgeons/Sports Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Ralston previously served as a staff orthopedic surgeon at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC and at the 86th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq. |

Martin A. Senicki, DO is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He attended medical school at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California and performed a residency at Chicago Osteopathic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He is a member of Sylva Orthopaedic Associates, PA with over nineteen years of experience in Orthopaedic medicine and has been a WCU team physician since 2005. |

Ryan Slechta, MD attended medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill, then specialized in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Slechta performs all aspects of sports medicine, as well as general orthopedics. While in training at UNC, Dr. Slechta assisted with orthopedic coverage for UNC athletics. Currently, Dr. Slechta is a team physician for Western Carolina University. |

Lawrence W. Supik, MD is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and attended medical school at East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. He performed his residency at Orlando Regional Medical in Orlando, Florida. He is a member of Sylva Orthopaedic Associates, PA with over fourteen years of experience in Orthopaedic medicine and has been a WCU team physician since 2002. He has also recently become a board certifed sports medicine physician. |
