Doug Branch MS, LAT, ATC is a licensed and certified athletic trainer. Doug earned a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Wingate University in Wingate, NC. Doug has also completed a Master's of Science in Health and Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Doug also volunteered at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he assisted with the volleyball and wrestling teams. Doug has been a clinical instructor for WCU's athletic training program for several years. Doug is currently the athletic trainer at Pisgah High School, bringing more than ten years of experience in the high school setting. |

Emily Martin, MS, LAT, ATC, is a licensed and certified athletic trainer. Emily earned a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from the State University of New York at Cortland. Emily Also completed a Master's of Science in Sport Psychology from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She worked with several teams as an athletic training student. Emily has also worked with the baseball and Men's soccer teams at Greensboro College. Emily recently was an assistant athletic trainer at Western Carolina University working with the women's volleyball and softball teams. She also served as an approved clinical instructor for Western's athletic training education program. Emily will be assisting with game coverage at Robbinsville high school in addition to her role as a physician extender. |

Jonathan Mitzel, MS, LAT, ATC, is a state licensed certified athletic trainer. Jonathan earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training from SUNY Brockport in Brockport, NY. Jonathan also completed a Master's of Science in Athletic Training from West Virginia University. Prior to coming to Carolina West Jonathan served as Athletic Trainer to WCU's men's and women's cross country and track and field programs. Jonathan is currently the Head Athletic Trainer at Cherokee High School and a clinical instructor for WCU's athletic training program. |

Lynette Mount MS, LAT, ATC graduated with a degree in Athletic Training from the University of Connecticut in 2004. Graduated with a Masters in Health Sciences Education from James Madison University in 2006. Was the baseball Athletic Trainer at Western Carolina University from 2006-2010. Interned with the Charlotte Knights for 2 years. Was named the 2010 National Athletic Training Association's Assistant Athletic Trainer of the Year. Currently serve on the North Carolina Athletic Training Association's board of directors. Live in Cullowhee with 2 cats and a dog. |

Jenn Mroz MS, ATC, LAT, is a licensed and certified Athletic Trainer. She received her B.S. in Health Science with a concentration in Athletic Training from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania in 1995. Jenn earned her M.S. in Exercise Science from Michigan State University in 1997. She has worked in several high school settings, in addition to the University of Scranton and Western Carolina University, where she worked with the 2005 SoCon championship Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer and Softball teams. She is also an adjunct instructor for the School of Teaching and Learning Department at WCU. Jenn has been the Head Athletic Trainer at Tuscola High School since 2006. |

Jennifer Murray, MAEd, LAT, ATC is a licensed and certified athletic trainer. She earned a B.S. degree in Health Fitness with a concentration in Athletic Training from UNCC. She then earned her Masters Degree from Western Carolina University in Physical Education. She is currently the insurance coordinator for Western Carolina Athletics. |

Carrie Powell, LAT, ATC, EMT-P, is a licensed and certified athletic trainer. Carrie earned her B.S. from Lenoir-Rhyne College, and her second B.S. in Emergency Medicine from Western Carolina. Carrie is currently the Athletic Trainer at Swain County High School. |

Anne Smallwood MS, LAT, ATC is a licensed and certified athletic trainer. Anne earned her Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training, with a concentration in Health Promotion from Appalachian State University and her Masters Degree in Sports Administration from the University of New Mexico. Anne has covered a variety of sports, including Big 10 football at Indiana University and volleyball at Tulane University. Anne has worked at the collegiate level for the past eight years, and is currently the Athletic Trainer at Robbinsville High School. |

Tom Tisdale, MS, LAT, ATC is a licensed and certified athletic trainer. Tom received his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from California Lutheran University. He completed his Master's Degree in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from California University of Pennsylvania. He spent 19 years working in professional baseball with the Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Rays and Pittsburgh Pirates. During the baseball off seasons he has worked with Salisbury University in Maryland as well as Western Carolina University. From 2006 through 2010 he served as the Men's Basketball athletic trainer at WCU. Currently, Tom serves as the athletic trainer at Smoky Mountain High School and is an approved clinical instructor for the WCU Athletic Training Education Program. |
