Emergency Medical Services

MedWest EMS serves the residents of Jackson County and the surrounding area. MedWest EMS is staffed by 20 paramedics certified in the areas of Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. The EMS operates a 911 division and also provides critical care transports from area hospitals to tertiary care centers in the region.

MedWest EMS received Accreditation from CAAS (Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services) for its compliance with national standards of excellence, achieving a perfect accreditation score of 100%. MedWest EMS offers first aid and other courses to area fire departments, schools and other organizations.
