Critical Care (ICU)

Both MedWest-Haywood and MedWest-Harris are equipped with Intensive Care Units for patients in need of critical acute care. MedWest-Haywood also cares for patients in need of specialized heart care. The caring and compassionate nursing staff is specially trained in critical care. The ICUs utilize advanced technology and equipment to provide minute-by-minute medical monitoring and attention for each patient. This equipment is capable of storing important data that can later be recalled, a valuable diagnostic tool. They also provide special waiting rooms for ICU patients’ families close to the unit.
