Special Services

MedWest-Harris offers a variety of special services to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. These special services include the following:

Mail
A volunteer will deliver mail addressed to you to your room each day. If items are received after your release, we will be happy to forward them to your home address.

Newspapers/Magazines
Newspaper racks for the Asheville-Citizen Times, the Sylva Herald, and USA Today are located at the main lobby entrance. Magazines are available from the book carts located on each patient floor. You may have a newspaper brought to your room by contacting the Front Desk in the Main Lobby.

Flowers
Volunteers will deliver any flowers sent to you by family or friends to your room. If you have already gone home, the florist will deliver them to you there.

Notary Public
If you should need a medical document notarized during your stay, please contact our Business Office. Our staff will be glad to assist you during business hours. For more information use your call button to call your nurse.

Health Resource Center
If you would like more information on a particular medical topic, our Health Resource Center is available to serve you.
