"Man to Man" Prostate Cancer Support Group

MedWest Health System is sponsoring “Man to Man” support group meetings in 2012 for prostate cancer patients and survivors. 

The meetings are held from 7 to 8 p.m. the second Monday of the month in the Annex Conference Room on the MedWest-Harris campus in Sylva. “Man to Man” is an American Cancer Society support group. 


Meeting dates in 2012 are Jan. 9, Feb. 13, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, Aug. 13, Sept. 10, Oct. 8, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10. 

Hugh Moon and Dr. Joe Hurt are co-chairmen of the support group. Meetings are free to attend. Call (828) 631-8100 for more information. 

"Man to Man” prostate cancer support group is part of MedWest Health System’s comprehensive cancer treatment services, including state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and advanced radiation therapy services at the Mountain Regional Cancer Center in Sylva. MedWest Health System’s cancer services team includes board-certified general surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, healthcare professionals specializing in radiation therapy and nurse navigators who help patients step-by-step throughout the cancer treatment process.
